CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF ORANGE, Sullivan, and Ulster serves the northwest quadrant of the Archdiocese of New York. In addition to its substance use disorder treatment services, it administers or supports programs to meet the full range of needs in the region. Programs include:
Social and Human Services Helping people meet basic needs through the Ulster Community Center Food Pantry in Kingston and pop-up pantries around the region; the Housing Resource Center, with offices in Newburgh and Middletown, to address housing insecurity or homelessness; and case management services to assist those in need of help meeting basic expenses or dealing with other personal or family crises.
Immigration Paralegals and attorneys provide legal consultation and services for documented and undocumented immigrants, whether newly arrived or long-time residents, regarding naturalization, work authorization, asylum applications, deportation proceedings, and more.
Addiction Prevention CCOSU promotes and implements early intervention strategies to prevent alcohol and drug abuse through school curriculums, community outreach, and training for parents, educators, and young people.
Counseling The Parish Counseling Network of 120 professional counselors is available to help parishioners through issues such as marital problems, eldercare, job loss, or bereavement.
Employee Assistance A program offered through employers to help workers deal with issues that may impact them in the workplace.
